We don’t have palm trees here in New York (the stamp above represents the botanical garden in Sukhum), but the heat wave that’s befallen us for several weeks now makes it clear that summer’s in full swing. Here are some of my past recipes for the season.
- It’s prime time for preserves galore: try the peach-raspberry preserves, or the Armenian apricot preserves, and don’t forget to prepare some brandied apricots for the perfect Sachertorte!
- If you prefer grilling: have the ultimate lyulya-kebab with lavash, or be more original with the crawfish lyulya-kebab and the grilled watermelon, cherry tomato and brynza Salad.
- Simple seafood dishes are equally welcome, such as these whitefish cakes or salmon burgers.
- Finally, quench your thirst with a tarragon soda or cherry kompot!
